KAIDAN LARSON

Resume
Kaidan Larson is a versatile violinist, composer, and arranger with extensive experience in classical, contemporary, film, and folk music. He has performed in regional and national honor ensembles, worked with renowned musicians such as Midori Goto and Augustin Hadelich, and played in a recording session with film composer Alan Silvestri.

Kaidan is currently studying Film Scoring at
Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts. He began composing at age twelve and has since composed for orchestras, choirs, plays, and films. Recently, Kaidan was selected to join the Joy Music House Score Production Workshop in New York, where he learned how to professionally produce a score with union musicians. Last year, Kaidan had the opportunity to work and record at the Warner Brothers Scoring Stage to learn about recording in a professional studio environment thanks to the LAFCI Studio Intensive.
There he played for The Hollywood Collection Vol 1, engineered by
Dennis Sands.

Kaidan has also worked in live sound, shadowing the A2 technician at the Bravo! Vail classical music festival in Vail, Colorado. He worked with prestigious orchestras including the Academy of St. Martin in the Fields, the Dallas Symphony, The Philadelphia Orchestra, and the
New York Philharmonic. He served as lead patch technician for the
New York Phil residency.

In addition to his classical and film work, Kaidan has a passion for bluegrass/folk music. From 2020-2022, he held a residency with
Hurricane Hill, producing two albums, The Shady Hollow Sessions (2021) and Metamorphosis (2022). He currently performs with Flat Creek, a band with a successful run in the Boulder area, recently selling out The Fox Theatre, voted fourth best music club in the country
by Rolling Stone magazine.

In his free time, Kaidan enjoys paddle boarding,
hiking, trying new restaurants or speakeasies, and
binging the next big limited series.
